Photo a Day Challenge

So I came across this "Photo of the Day" Challenge via Instragram today and thought to myself, "I could do this."  Except I didn't want to flood my instragram feed with all kinds of photos since I still want to post pics of my Mr. Manu and other random stuff I come across each day.  So I decided to take the challenge outside the IG media and do it via my "new" blog.  This will force me to challenge myself to write every day and the preset themes will make it fun.

So happy April 1st.  Today's theme: "Something Purple".  Well besides the obvious purple text today, I am posting a #selfie of another obvious purple choice, my hair.  Some might be asking, "Why on earth would you dye your entire head of hair purple?!"  The answer to that question is simple- because I had nothing better to do.  I am on this path of self-discovery, which got turned upside and flipped over about 30 times from my previous path.  On my newly found path, I wanted to do things that I had always wanted to do but was to scared to execute.  The first was chopping all of my hair off into a pixie cut.  Loved it for a while, but now I want my long hair back.  Hey, at least I can say I did it.  Second, was to have colored hair.  Since I have been love stricken by the color purple lately, I decided to go all in and dye it purple. Plus, I was no longer working in the classroom and I no longer had to conform to "professional" physical appearance standards.  I figured it will grow out eventually.  

Life lesson for the day: Do what makes you happy.  Even if it is dying your hair a wacky color.
